Companies interested in the modernization of Manas airport were told about the project. The Public-Private Partnership Center reported.
The presentation was attended by Munich Airport (Germany), Korea Airports Corporation (South Korea), Corporación América Airports (Argentina), Egis (France), YDA Group (Turkey), Incheon Airport (South Korea), GMR Group (India), ICTAS (Turkey) and Airports of Regions (Russia).
Previously, only the first four companies were named among the possible investors in the project.
Two days ago, the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) and the Airports of Regions company signed a cooperation agreement. The head of the RKDF, Artem Novikov, said that it was about the development of air harbors in the regions of the country, and not Manas airport.
«Thanks to the implementation of the project, Kyrgyzstan intends to position the Manas airport as a major aviation hub connecting the republic with the countries of Europe and Southeast Asia. Potential investors were presented with the opportunities and prospects of the airport. They expressed their interest in the project and presented their companies,» the center said.
Director of the center Sanzhar Bolotov said that a detailed feasibility study of the project had been prepared. It is at the stage of completion. The next stage is the announcement of a competition to select a project partner.
