Former deputy chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Zhyldyz Bakashova will temporarily act as a Director of the Kyrgyz National History Museum. Own sources informed 24.kg news agency.
According to them, she assumed the position of head of the museum from June 9, 2022.
Previous acting director of the History Museum Gulbara Abdykalykova was relieved of her duties in connection with the end of the trial against Keneshbek Almakuchukov — he was the head of the object until November 20, 2020.
Both orders were signed by the Minister of Culture Azamat Zhamankulov. However, the department does not comment on the situation.
«Keneshbek Almakuchukov should have been reinstated after the trial ended. But the minister, having the acquittal decision of the second instance in his hands, does not execute it. He refers to finalization and approval of the personnel issue with the top leadership of the country,» participants of the urgently convened meeting of the museum staff informed.
Keneshbek Almakuchukov was removed from his post in connection with the start of pre-trial proceedings on a tender in 2018 — an order for the production of uniforms for workers of the museum for its opening scheduled for August 31, 2018. The Bishkek City Court acquitted him on May 18, 2022.
In July 2018, the Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case on the fact of illegal use of budget funds allocated for reconstruction of the building and purchase of equipment for the State History Museum. Damage to the state amounted to 307,650 million soms.
High-ranking officials were charged.
