An exhibition of works by teachers and students of the secondary specialized art school named after Gapar Aitiev from the city of Osh was opened at the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts.
The exposition is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the painter.
The exhibition «On the Path of Gapar Aitiev» presents 70 works.
According to the organizers, schoolchildren take part in international, republican, regional and city art competitions, and there are winners among them.
Gapar Aitiev was born on September 15 (28), 1912 in Perviy Tuleiken village (now Kara-Suu district, Osh region).
He is one of the first professional artists of the Kyrgyz people. Gapar Aitiev entered the history of the Kyrgyz fine arts as a master of landscape, the author of plot-thematic paintings and portraits, a number of works of monumental and indoor sculpture, but the landscape became the main direction of his work.
The exhibition will run until June 26.
