Up to 10,000 tourists from India are expected in Kyrgyzstan in 2022. The Tourism Development Support Fund reported.
According to it, the largest flow of tourists in the country is traditionally registered in summer, but the Indian side is interested in all seasons, including winter and autumn tours. It is becoming popular to hold feasts here, celebrate weddings, shoot videos and films.
The officials met with major travel firms and investors in India. They were told about the development of medical tourism and a sanitary resort complex, construction of yurt glampings (luxury places for outdoor recreation). A memorandum of cooperation was signed with Salvia Promoters company.
«We also discuss visa issues. Tourists from India traveling in organized groups will have the opportunity to come to Kyrgyzstan for two weeks without visas. If the trip is needed for a longer period, the visa center in New Delhi, opening of which is currently being worked out, can help with preparation of documents,» the statement says.
