Neurosurgeon from Kyrgyzstan wins interstate prize

Kyrgyz neurosurgeon Mitalip Mamytov won an interstate prize «Stars of the Commonwealth.» Organizing committee of the competition reported.

According to the committee, the prize is awarded annually to the CIS representatives for the most significant achievements in the sphere of humanitarian activity, which correspond to the level of the world achievements and contribute to development of each member state and the Commonwealth in general.

The amount of the prize is 2 million rubles. Twelve nominees from eight countries competed for the highest award in 2022. By the decision of the jury, the prizes were awarded to:

  • Natik Kyamal oglu Aliyev (Azerbaijan) — sculptor, People’s Artist;
  • Eduard Khachiyan (Armenia) — geologist;
  • Sergey Kilin (Belarus) — physicist;
  • Serik Rustambekov (Kazakhstan) — architect;
  • Mitalip Mamytov (Kyrgyzstan) — neurosurgeon, head of department at the State Medical Academy;
  • Yuri Temirkanov (Russia) — conductor, Artistic Director of the St. Petersburg PhilharmonicOrchestra;
  • Mirgand Shabozov (Tajikistan) — mathematician;
  • Ramiz Usmanov (Uzbekistan) — director of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Uzbekistan.

The solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates will be held in Tashkent in December 2022 as part of the Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia.
