More than 100 students from Uzbekistan were expelled from the Jalal-Abad State University. The Ministry of Education confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
The ministry clarified that the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan has already applied to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic with a corresponding letter on this matter.
«According to the charter of the university, students must attend all types of classes provided for by the curriculum. The students named in the letter were expelled for systematic absences from classes. Despite repeated warnings, they did not come to the university. Only after being expelled from it, the students submitted certificates from various medical institutions in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. But they did not indicate the time of the disease or the time of the disease does not coincide with the missed days of classes, there are also facts of correcting the dates in the certificates,» the statement says.
The Ministry of Education emphasized that most students have the same diagnoses and unreasonably long periods of medical absence excuses. Many submitted certificates without registration numbers.
