Shooting at border: Two Kyrgyz servicemen wounded

As of 2.15 p.m., shooting in Bulak-Bashy area of ​ Batken region has been stopped. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Despite the fact that at 2.07 p.m. the border units of the two countries received a ceasefire command, the Tajik side continued shelling the positions of the Kyrgyz side until 2.15 p.m.

«The shooting stopped, there are wounded on both sides,» the state service said.

Own sources informed 24.kg news agency two Kyrgyz servicemen were wounded. They are provided with medical care.

Shooting at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border took place today at about noon in Bulak-Bashy area of ​ Batken region. The border patrol of Kyrgyzstan discovered military personnel of the neighboring republic. They illegally crossed the conventional border line and entered the territory of Kyrgyzstan. Ignoring the demands to leave the territory, the Tajik border guards opened fire at the Kyrgyz servicemen.
