Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev is suspected of corruption. Press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
From December 2020 to September 2021, Kyrgyzstan received 451,560 doses of vaccines in the form of gratuitous humanitarian aid from international organizations of Russia, China, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
«In addition, as part of an agreement with the presidents of China and Russia, the country was allocated 6 million doses of vaccines as humanitarian aid. On the personal instructions of the Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, 1,581,474,315 soms were received from foreign private companies in April, June, July and September 2021. At least 2,460,000 doses of the vaccine were bought for no good reason. The money was transferred to offshore accounts. Due to the fact that more than 3 million doses of the vaccine were superfluous, the remaining vaccines are expiring,» the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
The state suffered damage in the amount of 1,581,474,315 soms.
«A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of corruption. Five criminal cases are being investigated against the minister and other employees of the ministry,» the supervisory authority informed.
