Altyn Balalyk health-improving and rehabilitation center was opened today in Cholpon-Ata city in Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan.

The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Ministry of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev. He told reporters that the funds for restoration of the center were invested by his son Mar Beishenaliev, international organizations, and were also raised at a charity marathon.

According to him, the official’s son will finance the rehabilitation of children for three months. There will be 250 people in each group (3,000 visitors in total). At least 150-200 of them will receive the necessary treatment.

«District centers are already aware of the opening of the center. They will select children who do not have the opportunity to pay for rehabilitation. All procedures for them will be free. I think that this will always be the case, if we find sponsors. The center has a department of cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, reproduction, pediatric oncology,» he said.

At least 150 children are undergoing rehabilitation in the center to date, 100 have a rest there.
