Police officers uncovered a theft of diesel fuel from the gold mine of Kumtor Gold Company JSC. Press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region reported.
«On May 29, at about 02.30 a.m., policemen patrolled Sary-Moinok section, located in the syrt zone of Dzheti-Oguz district. They noticed an Audi C4 car. During inspection, they found 300 liters of diesel fuel in canisters in the trunk and inside the car,» the police department informed.
«The driver and passenger of the car, residents of Barskoon village, 23-year-old U.Ch. and 32-year-old Sh.S. admitted that they bought diesel fuel from a mechanic of special equipment for leveling roads working at the mine. The suspect turned out to be an employee of Tarylga Service private organization, 29-year-old A.N., who also lives in Barskoon village. It turned out that the organization works on a contractual basis with Kumtor Gold Company. During the interrogation, the detainee fully admitted his guilt in the sale of diesel fuel stolen from the mine,» the statement says.
The collected materials were registered. The investigation is ongoing.
