Judge prosecuted for extortion in Dzhumgal district

A criminal case has been initiated against a judge of Dzhumgal District Court of Naryn region. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The judge and the deputy prosecutor of the district are suspected of extortion and taking money from a citizen for termination of a criminal case. The deputy prosecutor was caught red-handed.

A criminal case was initiated against the judge under Article 343 «Extortion» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The representative of the oversight body was placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security for two months.
