Visit of President of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan: 13 documents signed

A number of bilateral documents aimed at developing bilateral cooperation were signed as part of the official visit of the leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Kyrgyzstan.

Heads of State Sadyr Japarov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also signed a joint statement.

In addition, the following documents were signed:

1. Protocol on amendments and additions to the Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan on the provision of mutual legal assistance in civil and criminal cases dated August 26, 1996.
2. Agreement between Governments on the prevention and suppression of natural fires in the border areas.
3. Protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of education dated July 4, 2006.
4. Agreement between Governments on cooperation in the field of aviation search and rescue.
5. Joint Action Plan of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2022 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations.
6. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Agriculture.
7. Memorandum between the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JOINT TECHNOLOGIES LLP on investing in the infrastructure of an industrial trade and logistics complex in the area of Karasu and Ak-Tilek road checkpoints.
8. Memorandum of cooperation between the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Talas region and the Akimat of Zhambyl region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
9. Memorandum of cooperation between the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Osh region and the Akimat of Turkestan region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
10. Protocol of intent to conclude an Agreement on cooperation between the Office of Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Issyk-Kul region with the Akimat of Almaty region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
11. Memorandum of cooperation between the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Chui region and the Akimat of Karaganda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
12. Memorandum of cooperation between the Office of Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Batken region and the Akimat of Aktobe region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
13. Memorandum of cooperation between the Office of Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Jalal-Abad region and the Akimat of Atyrau region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The President of Kazakhstan arrived in Bishkek on an official visit today. The meeting of the Heads of State takes place at Ala-Archa-1 state residence.

Prior to this, the leaders of the two states held talks in a narrow format, and then in an expanded one.
