«In present-day developments, we have no right to forget about the digital sovereignty of the EAEU countries and development of Eurasian software,» Varos Simonyan, member of the EEC Board (Minister) in charge of Internal Markets, Informatization, Information and Communication Technologies, said during the 1st Eurasian Economic Forum in Bishkek.
According to him, there is a need for digital transformation in all sectors and spheres of activity in the EAEU countries. Since the formation of the digital agenda in 2016, major projects have been launched: the unified job search system «Without Borders», information and communication showcases, national services of ecosystems of digital transport corridors, Eurasian network of industrial cooperation.
«One of the key factors for creation of a digital agenda is the unification of services of all states to create a single digital platform. I would like to say that we should not talk about digital isolation. This is counterproductive and makes no sense. We need to study practices together and watch how the world develops. Development of digitalization is a key factor in the development of our economies,» Varos Simonyan said.
