At least 152,000 people received microcredits worth 8.8 billion soms in the first quarter of 2022. The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
Compared with the first quarter of 2021, the number of people covered by microcredits has decreased by 9.8 percent and the volume of issued microcredits has increased by 3.4 percent.
«Osh (about 25 percent), Jalal-Abad (15 percent) regions and Bishkek (15 percent) account for the largest number of microcredit recipients. The largest amounts of microcredits were issued to recipients in Osh region (1.9 billion soms, or more than 21 percent of the total volume of issued microcredits), Bishkek (1.6 billion soms, or 18 percent), Chui (1.3 billion soms, or 15 percent) and Jalal-Abad (1.2 billion soms, or 13.5 percent) regions,» the National Statistical Committee said.
Most of the loans (39 percent) are taken for consumer needs and 31 percent — for agriculture. The share of microcredits issued for trade and catering was 12.5 percent and for construction — 6 percent.
