The Embassy of Turkey in Kyrgyzstan made a statement regarding the nostrification of diplomas of students from the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey.
According to the diplomatic mission, cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in the field of education continues, based on the firm will of the parties.
«However, young people who graduated from some educational institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic face problems with nostrification (the procedure for recognizing educational documents of foreign states) in Turkey,» the statement says.
The Embassy recalled that a coup attempt was made in Turkey on July 15, 2016 by the Fethullah terrorist organization (FETO), headed by Fethullah Gülen. 251 people were killed, 2,734 citizens were injured.
«The goal of FETO is to use youth for their own illegal purposes. They cheat through established and operated educational institutions around the world. One of them continues its activities in Kyrgyzstan under the name «Sapat International Educational Institutions.» Financial income received from them is used in the illegal activities of the organization,» the statement says.
All schools and educational institutions belonging to FETO were closed in Turkey.
Therefore, the procedure for nostrification of a diploma of higher education and certificates of secondary general education of students / pupils, who graduated from Sapat educational institutions, continuing their activities under the FETO in the Kyrgyz Republic, is not approved by the departments of Turkey.
«The applications of students/pupils who graduated from these institutions are not accepted for any of the scholarship programs of Turkey (Türkiye Bursları). As long as Sapat educational institutions are under the control of FETO, their graduates will not be able to work in that country. Turkey reserves the right to take all possible measures within the framework of the legislation in relation to the leaders and teachers who are Kyrgyzstanis working in these institutions,» the Embassy stressed.
Turkey has applied to the departments of Kyrgyzstan with the necessary initiatives and proposals and hopes that they will show cooperation to resolve this problem and eliminate it as soon as possible.
