President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov got acquainted with the state of the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant (HPP) and its preparation for operation in the autumn-winter period of 2022-2023. Press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Japarov inspected the building and equipment of the HPP, got acquainted with the work of the turbine and boiler shops, the engine room, new blocks of the heating plant and the control system of power units, fuel laboratory.
According to the director of the HPP Nurgazy Kurmanbekov, during the last autumn-winter heating period, the HPP of the capital carried an increased energy load, ensuring accumulation of water in Toktogul reservoir. Planned maintenance work is currently underway.
Over 1.5 million tons of coal are purchased annually for the Bishkek HPP. There are 283,089 tons in stock. Due to increased quality control, 100,000 tons less coal have been burned this year. Thanks to this, 1,780 million tons of coal from Kavak basin (Kara-Keche coal) must be purchased for the new season. In addition, when switching to burning local coal, about 260 million soms are expected to be saved. This will be possible provided that the price of Kara-Keche coal will be at the level of last year — 3,390 soms per ton.
The President instructed the management of Electric Stations JSC to resolve the issue of raising the salary of employees of HPP and purchasing the required volume of coal in the near future.
