Night of Museums: Fair opens in Bishkek

Night of Museums event has started at the Gapar Aitiev Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts in Bishkek.

A fair was opened in the courtyard of the museum: everything from clothing to home decor, from fragrant tea to sweets, from jewelry to accessories, and much more is presented there. Performances take place in the movie theater, and schoolchildren went on a tour of the exhibition halls.

Opening is scheduled for 6.30 p.m., but in the meantime, workers are setting the stage and making final preparations for the large-scale event, timed to coincide with the International Museum Day.

The program includes an updated exposition, various master classes, photo exhibition, excursions, sculpture art therapy, lectures, film screenings, fairs, performances and much more.

The Night of Museums will take place not only in the Museum of Fine Arts, but also at other sites in the capital.
