Sadyr Japarov and Vladimir Putin meet in Kremlin

The Presidents of Russia Vladimir Putin and Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met on the sidelines of the anniversary meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). Press service of the Kremlin reported.

Vladimir Putin noted that he was glad to meet Sadyr Japarov in a bilateral format. There are many issues for discussion, but in general, relations between the countries are developing positively, he said. Last year, a serious increase in trade of more than 30 percent was registered.

«Russia confidently occupies the first position in the trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan. There are, of course, issues that require separate discussion. I am very glad that these issues can also be discussed on the sidelines of the international event,» the President of Russia stressed.

Sadyr Japarov said he was glad to have the opportunity to meet with his Russian counterpart.

«First of all, let me congratulate all of us on the 77th anniversary of the Great Victory. This year we are also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. In this regard, I congratulate you and all great Russian people on this anniversary. We are always interested in cooperation with the Russian Federation in all areas,» Sadyr Japarov assured.
