Adviser to the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev was detained. Press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.
The security services suspect the former head of the department of State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety in taking a bribe.
«In 2016, the ex-head of the department received $70,000 from a foreign entrepreneur. He promised that he would resolve the issue of issuing permits for the export of donkeys from Kyrgyzstan to China. At the same time, the entrepreneur did not receive the permits and the money was not returned. A criminal case has been initiated. The head of the department was caught red-handed on May 14 when returning part of the money to the entrepreneur and placed in a pre-trial detention center of the SCNS,» the state committee said.
The detainee is currently an adviser to the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Arzybek Kozhoshev.
