Disabled woman severely beaten in Karakol

Human rights activist Kamil Ruziev reported on Twitter about beating of a woman with disability Aizat Usenbaeva in Karakol.

According to him, this has happened for the second time already.

«Aizat Usenbaeva, a disabled resident of Karakol, repeatedly beaten by her husband, was hospitalized in a serious condition in the Issyk-Kul Regional Hospital. Even after that, the investigation service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Karakol did not take measures to initiate a criminal case and detain the man,» Kamil Ruziev wrote.

He noted that a forensic medical examination had been scheduled. The lawyer added that this is not the first time when the investigating authorities have refused to initiate a case on domestic violence fact.
