Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov visited the Kyrgyz State Technical and Bishkek State Universities. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The official criticized the teachers and organization of the educational process, noting that the knowledge gained by graduates and the curricula of universities do not meet modern requirements of the economy and the market.
He believes that the university should be transformed into a «center of excellence», training engineers who will be able to give a powerful impetus to the development of manufacturing and information technology in the country.
Rector of the Bishkek State University Abdylda Musaev told Edil Baisalov about the achievements in recent years, and also acquainted him with the activities of institutes, cultural and educational centers at the university.
The Deputy Prime Minister called on the administration and university teachers to take drastic measures in order to change the organization of the learning process and the lives of students, as well as to increase their competitiveness and the quality of the knowledge they get.
