Sadyr Japarov to participate in CSTO summit in Moscow

Summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will be held in Moscow on May 16. TASS reports, citing the spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

«Summit of the organization’s member states will be held in Moscow on May 16 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the CSTO. This will be both a meeting of the leaders and their communication in the format of a working breakfast,» he said.

Dmitry Peskov added that following the event, CSTO Secretary-General Stanislav Zas and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan would make statements to the media. The country currently holds chairmanship of the organization.

As Dmitry Peskov reported earlier, the CSTO leaders may touch upon the situation in Ukraine at the meeting.

The CSTO is an international security organization, which currently has six member states: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
