80 video laryngoscopes handed over to hospitals of Kyrgyzstan

Hospitals in Kyrgyzstan received 80 video laryngoscopes. The Ministry of Health reported.

The devices were bought within the Emergency Response to COVID-19 project with the financial support of the World Bank.

The new equipment will help medical workers provide qualified rehabilitation assistance after coronavirus infection and will improve the results of tracheal intubation. The devices make it possible to examine the patient’s nasopharynx and throat in detail, carry out a number of medical procedures, and perform simple surgical procedures.

The goal of the project is to support Kyrgyzstan’s efforts in the field of preparedness and response to the COVID-19 pandemic through appropriate preventive measures, procurement of medicines, supplies and medical equipment, and reduction of risks for healthcare workers.
