The 24th Summer Deaflympics are held in the city of Caxias do Sul (Brazil). Results are available on the website of the competitions.
Athletes will compete for 205 sets of awards in 21 sports of the program from May 1 to May 15. More than 3,000 athletes from more than 100 countries will participate.
Judoka Kanalbek uulu Ilgiz (over 100 kg) and taekwondo practitioner Bermet Marsbekova (57 kg) from Kyrgyzstan won bronze medals.
Azamat Mavlonov (up to 80 kilograms) won silver medal at taekwondo competitions.
The Deaflympics are held for people with hearing impairments.
