Consequences of mudflows are being eliminated in Alai district of Osh region of Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
To date, 229 houses have been flooded in Korul rural area, including the basements of 41 residential buildings. Some 24 residential buildings and one store have been cleared. A bridge has been restored.
In total, 720 cubic meters of mudflow waste have been cleared. The Department of Emergency Situations of Alai district removed the flood waters that flooded the building of the secondary school named after A. Bektashov.
Some 50 servicemen of one of the military units of the Ministry of Defense are involved in the work.
Local authorities, together with employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, are establishing the number and identity of people affected by mudflows.
