Kyrgyzstan takes 72nd place in World Press Freedom Index 2022

The international organization Reporters Without Borders published its annual ranking of countries in terms of press freedom for 2022.

Kyrgyzstan takes the 72nd place in the World Press Freedom Index 2022.

During the year, the republic rose seven positions and became the leader among the Central Asian countries.

According to the report of the international organization, Kazakhstan takes the 122nd place, Uzbekistan — the 133rd, Tajikistan — the 155th and Turkmenistan — the 177th.

Norway tops the ranking. Japan was ranked the 71st.
