Residents of Alamedin district of Chui region hold a rally in the park near the monument to Maxim Gorky in Bishkek. T-Media reports live on social media.
About 20 people gathered for a peaceful rally. The villagers ask to solve the problem with drinking water supply and appeal to the President Sadyr Japarov.
«Dear Sadyr Nurgozhoevich, we are residents of Tash-Dobo village. We cфme so that you can hear our cry from the heart. The population of the village is growing every year, but there is not enough water. All pipes and wells are outdated. Out of desperation, we turn to you and ask you to pay attention to us. It is very hard to live without water,» one of the rally participants said.
Another resident of Tash-Dobo village noted that the authorities have been promising them to reconstruct the water supply system for many years, but they do not fulfill it.
«Heads of districts, governors, the government are changing, and every time we voice problems. We ask to solve our problems. We don’t have water. This is an engineering problem that we ask you to solve,» the rally participant said.
