Kyrgyzstan received food aid from Russia — 135 tons of wheat flour and more than 60 tons of sunflower oil. The Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan reported.
Both flour and oil are fortified. They will be distributed among the needy families. A similar handover ceremony took place on April 20 in Osh, where 675 tons of flour and 60 tons of oil were handed over.
The project is being implemented as part of Russia’s voluntary earmarked contribution of $9 million to the UN World Food Program fund.
