Officials of the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan propose amendments to the law on Identification Card – Passport of a Citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic of 2017 (ID card). The amended document was submitted for public discussion.
The current wording contains a mandatory provision that the recipient's electronic signature must be in the ID card chip. Otherwise, he or she will not get the passport.
It is proposed to remove this item and prescribe: an electronic signature can be put at will. Employee of a Public Service Center should not demand it. This is a citizen's right, not a duty.
