Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev asks the Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş to consider reduction of the size of customs duties on goods exported from the Kyrgyz Republic. Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The sides also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, implementation of the action plan of the 10th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and holding of the next one in the fall of 2022.

The Ambassador informed about Kyrgyzstan’s export opportunities and the European Union’s GSP+ program.

«Given the high customs duties when exporting goods from Kyrgyzstan to Turkey, the Ambassador asked for assistance in reducing these rates on the export of Kyrgyz products, including honey, beans, meat and other products,» the statement says.

Mehmet Muş noted that he would consider the possibility of import of products from Kyrgyzstan.
