300 trucks stand in line at Ak-Tilek-Avtodorozhny checkpoint

About 300 trucks and about 25 cars are standing in line for border control at Ak-Tilek-Avtodorovozhny checkpoint, they are standing on the roadside. The Information and Communications Department of the Border Service of State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.

More than 70 trucks are queued up at Chaldybar-Avtodorozhny checkpoint. The accumulation of trucks at these checkpoints is due to the fact that the Kazakh side is letting vehicles through slowly.

At the same time, from time to time, it unilaterally temporarily stops the passage.

No accumulation of people and trucks has been registered at other checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border. It is noted that there are no restrictions on border control for cargo carriers by the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan SCNS.

On April 15, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Arzybek Kozhoshev and the Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov discussed the issue of trucks traveling from the territory of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet stressed that the agreements reached during the videoconference at the end of March of this year are not being fully implemented. «We have agreed that if the accompanying documents are not in order or are missing, the Kazakh side will return such vehicles back. In fact, the queue of trucks is getting longer every day,» he said.
