Kazakhstan entered the ranking of countries with highest alcohol consumption in the world. Kazakh media report, citing the Minister of Health Azhar Giniyat.
According to her, Kazakhstan ranks 10th in the world in terms of alcohol consumption.
«According to a WHO study, among people over 15 years old, the level of alcohol consumption for men is 25 liters per year, for women — 9 liters. The mortality rates of the population from external causes, such as road accidents, injuries, violent death, poisoning, drowning, are the result of consumption of alcoholic beverages,» Azhar Giniyat said.
