WHO donates medical supplies to Kyrgyzstan

The World Health Organization (WHO) donated medical supplies to Kyrgyzstan to strengthen the capacity of human resources in health care. Press center of the Ministry of Health reported.

According to it, training dummies for emergency medical care, parenteral and intramuscular administration of drugs, non-contact thermometers, pulse oximeters, concentrators and computer equipment for a total of $39,929 were handed over to the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training.

«The assistance will be distributed among all seven regional branches of the Department of Nursing in Family Medicine and will provide better access of health workers from the regions to continuous learning and improvement of practical skills in nursing. All provided medical supplies and equipment meet WHO quality and safety standards, which will ensure the safety of medical workers and improve their patient management skills,» the ministry noted.
