289 facts of organizing illegal migration revealed in Kyrgyzstan last year

Some 289 cases of organizing illegal migration have been revealed in Kyrgyzstan last year. Ulukbek Balagazyev, head of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration of the Ministry of Interior, told at a press conference in Bishkek.

«This year, we have already detected nine such cases. We warn citizens going to work abroad about the risks. Be careful and study the documents of firms that employ people abroad,» he said.

According to Sultan Makilov, head of the Investigative Service of the Interior Ministry, migrant workers often encounter not only illegal channels of sending abroad, but also fraud.

«Mostly people are deceived by promises of help with visas to the U.S., European countries, Korea. At least 32 criminal cases were opened for three months not only on illegal migration, but also on fraud related to migration processes. Nine criminal cases have been completed and sent to court,» Ulukbek Balagaziev noted.

It is worth recalling that on March 17 the press service of the government reported that Kyrgyzstanis have the opportunity to participate in the British program of seasonal agricultural work. The document was signed between the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad and Agri-HR.

Against the background of this announcement, the number of fraudulent ads about job in Great Britain increased. The Ministry of Internal Affairs advised citizens to be careful. The ministry noted that full information on the rules of employment is available on the website of the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad and on the website of Agri-HR.
