Azerbaijani artist becomes member of Union of Composers of Kyrgyzstan

The Honored Artist, composer and singer of Azerbaijan Elza Seidjahan was awarded a certificate of a member of the Union of Composers of the Kyrgyz Republic at the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Azerbaijan for her contribution to the development of Kyrgyz music. Azertag news agency reports.

«We, the Turkic peoples, have ancient historical roots. There are very close ties between our countries in the political, economic and cultural spheres. We are very happy to admit Elsa khanim to the Union of Composers of Kyrgyzstan. In this difficult time, it is very important to pay attention to the cultural sphere, because culture creates peace between people,» the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliev said.

An Honored Art Worker of Azerbaijan Zemfira Gafarova noted that there is a great opportunity for composers of both countries now to get to know each other better. She expressed her desire to get acquainted with the works of Kyrgyz authors.

In February, at a meeting of the Board of the Union of Composers of Kyrgyzstan, Elsa Seidjahan was elected an honorary member of the Union of Composers of the Kyrgyz Republic on the recommendation of the Fund for Supporting Policy of Turkic Speaking States.
