A suspect in beating of the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of Kyrgyzstan Myrza Dzhamanbaev was detained in Tokmak city. Press service of the Central Internal Affairs Department of Chui region informed 24.kg news agency.
«The incident occurred on March 23 at about 8.30 p.m. in Tokmak at the intersection of Kirov and Shamshinskaya Streets. The suspect inflicted bodily harm on the victim, as a result of which the latter was hospitalized,» the department informed.
The police initiated a criminal case on hooliganism charges. The attacker has been identified. It turned out to be a 21-year-old local resident. He was detained and placed under house arrest by the court decision. According to one version, the attack occurred due to a conflict between drivers on the road.
