The State History and Culture Reserve Museum Ozgon was created in Kyrgyzstan. The corresponding decision was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov.

The decision was made to preserve and develop objects of historical and cultural heritage. Previously, the Uzgen archaeological and architectural complex was administered by the Sulaiman Too National Historical and Archaeological Complex. The Cabinet considered that this hindered its development.

«Creation of the State History and Culture Reserve Museum Ozgon, which has unique monuments of history and culture of Central Asia on its territory, such as three mausoleums, a minaret and the remains of three shahristans, will preserve these objects for future generations and include them in tourism circulation,» the statement says.
