Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with representatives of domestic processing enterprises. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
They discussed topical issues in the field of ensuring food security, state support for the agricultural sector and development of anti-crisis measures. The Prime Minister noted the need to ensure the country’s food security in nine clusters, including meat products (cattle and small cattle, poultry, fish), dairy products, flour, sugar, vegetable oil, vegetables and fruits.
«We are aimed at providing the necessary support to the agro-industrial complex through the development of clusters through the provision of concessional lending and financing, leasing. State banks, the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, Guarantee Fund OJSC will provide appropriate financing to increase production and meet the country’s needs for basic types of food products. I am ready to hold weekly working meetings to address food security issues,» Akylbek Japarov said.
The project «Lending to the agro-industrial complex» was approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. Aiyl Bank and RSK were allocated 10 billion soms for issuing preferential loans and financing, including in accordance with Islamic principles.
As a result of the meeting, relevant state bodies were given instructions on further elaboration of issues of state support for the agricultural sector.
