Servicemen of the border troops of Tajikistan beat up a Kyrgyz border guard. The Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic informed 24.kg news agency.
The incident occurred on March 19 in the area of Sada, Leilek district.
«Serviceman of Leilek border detachment found an unknown car near the border line. Trying to detain the car, he went to the site where the border guards of Tajikistan were on duty.
Tajik border guards detained the Kyrgyz soldier. Negotiations were held immediately between the border representatives of both countries, as a result of which the serviceman of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic was handed over to the Kyrgyz side. According to the serviceman, a fight broke out between him and the Tajik border guards and he was injured.
The state of health of the serviceman is assessed as stable, he is undergoing inpatient treatment. An investigation into this fact is underway,» the Border Service said.
