Inflow of water into Toktogul reservoir has increased by 28 cubic meters per second — from 173 to 201 cubic meters per second over the past 24 hours. Electric Stations JSC reported.

At the same time, the water flow rate increased by 72 cubic meters — from 218 to 290 cubic meters per second.

As of March 16, 2022, the water level in Toktogul reservoir is 7,933.09 billion cubic meters.

The level decreased by 7.72 million cubic meters for 24 hours, since the beginning of the year — by 2,178.31 billion cubic meters and compared to March 16, 2021 — by 1,118.51 billion cubic meters. There were a little more than 9 billion cubic meters of water on that day last year.

Kyrgyzstan faced an energy crisis due to a low water period. Power industry specialists fear that only 6-7 billion cubic meters of water could remain in the reservoir after the heating season. Some experts believe that this could lead to the shutdown of Toktogul HPP.
