Mandatory wearing of masks is scrapped in Kyrgyzstan from March 12 with the exception of healthcare institutions and public transport. The Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Mandatory wearing of masks requirement for students and teaching staff in higher education institutions, colleges and other educational organizations, shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, catering outlets, bazaars, museums, sports clubs, libraries is abolished.
The Ministry of Health, together with interested government agencies, was instructed to make the necessary changes to the existing algorithms and instructions from March 12.
However, the importance of wearing of medical masks in healthcare institutions (state, municipal and private ones), as well as in public passenger transport, was declared.
Citizens on a voluntary basis are recommended to observe the mask regime in crowded places, in large shopping centers, markets, during public events, in order to prevent COVID-19 and other types of infectious diseases.
