Kazakhstan’s Air Astana airline announced suspension of all flights to Russia. Official website of the airline says.
It is noted that such a decision was made due to the termination of insurance coverage for commercial flights from / to the Russian Federation and over its territory.
«The airline is solving these issues with the government of Kazakhstan for a speedy resumption of flights. We ask passengers of canceled flights to contact the place of purchase for a full refund,» the statement says.
Situation in Ukraine remains complicated. Fighting continues. Russia started a special military operation on February 24, 2022. The number of military and civilian casualties continues to grow. Many states have imposed and continue to impose severe sanctions on Russia. Humanitarian corridors have been opened for evacuation of civilians from several Ukrainian cities.
