International reserves of Kyrgyzstan grow by $53.67 million for month

As a result of February 2022, the gross international reserves of Kyrgyzstan reached $2,816.07 billion. Website of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic says.

Over the past month, the gross international reserves increased by $53.67 million. Compared to February last year, they increased by $143.29 million. At the same time, the highest level of reserves was registered in September 2021 — $3,241.14 billion.

The National Bank uses the reserves to smooth out sharp fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. Last year, it conducted 15 interventions, having sold $698,95 million. In February 2022, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic intervened one time, having sold $13.05 million.
