Kyrgyzstan against the background of the conflict in Ukraine

— The Embassy of Ukraine in Kyrgyzstan continues working as usual. On March 3, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aibek Moldogaziev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Bishkek Valery Zhovtenko. «The parties discussed a number of issues, including the current situation in Ukraine, at the meeting,» the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said in a statement.

Kyrgyzstan has advocated and continues to support the cessation of the military conflict and its peaceful resolution exclusively by political and diplomatic methods in order to avoid further casualties and destruction within the framework of generally recognized principles and norms of international law, and also welcomes the start of negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the conflict, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said in a statement.

— A large influx of labor migrants returning from Russia is not expected in Kyrgyzstan, Acting Head of the Department of Labor and Employment Promotion of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration Talant Sharsheev told 24.kg news agency.

«There are more vacancies. Requests come from the Far East, Central Russia, the European part. These are mostly jobs in production, factories,» Talant Sharsheev said. According to him, the flow of labor migrants from Kyrgyzstan to Russia will decrease.

 Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant is under the control of Russian troops, the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine reported.

The building of the training complex caught fire. Rescuers extinguished the fire, which spread over an area of ​​about 2,000 square meters.

— The state of emergency came into force in the Czech Republic due to the influx of refugees from Ukraine. It was introduced for 30 days. About 5,000 Ukrainians arrive in the country every day. The Czech authorities stressed that the state of emergency is «technical» and will not affect the lives of most citizens of the country. — The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) ruled out the possibility of closing the passage for Russian ships due to the conflict in Ukraine. «The Panama Canal is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine, but it is a permanently neutral international transit waterway,» the ACP said in a statement, RIA Novosti reported.
