Textile factory for $27 million under construction in Kara-Balta

Construction of a textile factory for $27 million continues in Kara-Balta city, Chui region of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Parliament reported.

The textile factory, the construction of which started in 2021, covers 93,000 square meters. At least $10 million has been already spent on the construction of the object, another $12 million is planned to be spent by 2025. The total cost of the project is estimated at $27 million.

«Initially, the facility will employ about 400 people and produce about 20 tons of yarn and fabric a day. By 2027, when construction of the plant is completed, it will employ 1,200 people and its output will be increased to 100 tons a day. Most of the workers will be women,» the statement says.

About 85 percent of the products will be exported to the CIS and Europe.

Deputy of Parliament Nurlanbek Azygaliev visited the factory’s construction site and held talks with Yilmaz Alduz, a representative of Dekna Bishkek Textile company building the factory, local authorities and deputies of the City Council to provide comprehensive support to investors.
