A draft plan of anti-crisis measures was discussed to minimize the consequences of sharp fluctuations in the exchange rate, prevent speculative transactions in the foreign exchange market, prevent a sharp increase in prices for goods and services and maintain economic growth rates for the current year. The Ministry of Economy reported.
According to it, a meeting of the Economy Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev and the Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev with business representatives took place today. Due to the newly imposed sanctions against large Russian banks, there were difficulties in transferring funds in foreign currency to foreign partners. The volatility of the exchange rate plays an important role, which complicates the interaction with other business partners.
Daniyar Amangeldiev noted that the set of anti-crisis measures includes consideration, first of all, of concessional financing for entrepreneurs, smoothing out sharp fluctuations in the exchange rate of som through foreign exchange interventions. Assistance is planned to be provided to legal entities — recipients of loans in foreign currency.
«In order to prevent a speculative increase in the cost of essential goods, constant monitoring of the prices of large producers will continue, as well as replenishment and maintenance of the state material reserves of socially significant goods in the required amount. In general, the preliminary draft plan was approved by the business community and will be finalized in the near future, taking into account the proposals received at this working meeting,» the statement says.
