The Russian delegation has arrived in Belarus for negotiations with the Ukrainian side and is ready to start them in Gomel. RIA Novosti reported with reference to the Spokesman for the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
It is noted that the Russian delegation includes representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, and other departments of the Russian Federation, including the Presidential Administration.
«Russia is already ready for negotiations in Gomel, Moscow is now waiting for the Ukrainians,» Dmitry Peskov said.
In turn, the Foreign Ministry of Belarus said that Minsk has prepared everything necessary for the negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, and ensures the resolution of protocol issues.
Today is the fourth day of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine. It started on February 24, 2022. On February 25, fighting took place in the north, south and east of the country. Some cities are either blocked or captured. The number of casualties among the military and civilians continues to grow. Western states impose tough sanctions against the Russian Federation, but they refused to fight in Ukraine.
On February 26, the Spokesman for the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the military operation would continue after Ukraine refused to negotiate.
