Journalist Semetei Talas uulu was detained. His colleague Kanyshai Mamyrkulova reported on Facebook.
Wife of the detainee, Aiym Usubaeva confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency. According to her, unknown men in civilian clothes came to their house, they did not introduce themselves. They took her husband away.
Aiym Usubaeva also said that their house was searched.
However, it is not yet specified who exactly detained the journalist and for what reason.
Law enforcement agencies are not available for comment.
