«Kyrgyzstan imports 67 percent of goods, respectively, inflation is imported. We will not be able to do anything here,» Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, said today at a press conference.
According to him, the latest report of the Federal Reserve System (FRS) of the United States says the inflation reached 7.8 percent, although it was originally planned that it would be 2 percent.
«Accordingly, prices are expected to rise around the world. We need to improve the welfare of the people. Therefore, we are drastically increasing government spending and will sharply increase the size of benefits and pensions. But at the same time, we are working with the Chairman of the National Bank to add domestic inflation so that there is no extra money in the economy. We will do our best to ensure economic growth. Our future is in trade with China. We need to deliver goods there,» Akylbek Japarov concluded.
