Smuggling of more than 20 tons of alcohol into Russia from Kyrgyzstan has been prevented. Press service of Chelyabinsk customs reported.
A truck transporting more than 4,000 five-liter containers labeled «Medical ethyl alcohol 95 percent» was stopped near the city of Troitsk, Chelyabinsk Oblast of Russia.
This product belongs to high-risk cargo. It must be transported on predetermined routes and with special permits. In addition, Russian law prohibits the circulation of alcohol-containing products without an appropriate license. The alcohol carrier could not provide the necessary permits.
The goods have been confiscated. Authorized bodies decide the issue of bringing the perpetrators to justice.
